Door Tablet integrates with Springshare LibCal , commonly used by university libraries to manage study rooms and other bookable resources. Show relevant booking and room information at the point of use.

Institutions with other academic systems can also explore integration through the Door Tablet Standard Interface (DTSI) , an API-based option using a defined set of HTTP and JSON interactions.

Future Development Concepts

Exploring personalised campus wayfinding

Door Tablet has explored concepts for more personalised campus navigation, including interactive wayfinding connected to university scheduling systems.

Potential developments could allow students and staff to use an authorised RFID/NFC ID card to access their daily timetable, search for classrooms and receive directions to their next lesson. Integration with mapping services such as Google Maps could also support navigation between campus buildings and off-site facilities.

These are conceptual possibilities rather than currently available features. Implementation would require additional development and integration with the institution's academic scheduling systems and relevant mapping services.
